Biography

Yumiko is a member of SustainaHealth. After clinical experience in acute care nursing at the University of Tokyo Hospital, she worked as an occupational health nurse at All Nippon Airways. She has also experience as a public health nurse in the private sector and local government. After earning a master's degree in public health, she joined the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, where she worked in health and medical administration related to long-term care insurance and medical insurance. In 2020, she is a founder and representative of Public Health Consulting, which aims to be a platform for addressing health related social issues.

She graduated from the Faculty of Nursing, Jichi Medical University and the School of Health and Welfare Sciences of Waseda University.  She is currently enrolled in the Doctoral Program in Health Sciences and Nursing of University of Tokyo. Her main research interests in occupational health and health policy.
