Hiromi Ikegami

Biography

Hiromi is a member of SustainaHealth.  She also serves as a board member of Hygeia Communications, and a senior member of the Keio Research Institute at SFC.

 

After graduating from Tokyo Medical and Dental University, Hiromi worked as a Registered Nurse in the Thoracic Surgery Unit of the Tokyo Medical and Dental University Medical Hospital.  After that, she worked as an occupational health nurse at a major life insurance company, where she planned and conducted various health classes and provided behavioral change support and mental health counseling to prevent lifestyle-related diseases.

 

She worked in Kawasaki city as a public health nurse since 2006.She has worked mainly with community organizations and research institutes to develop health promotion programs and long-term care prevention, and to improve social capital through human resource development and stakeholder engagement.

 

From 2015 to 2018, she worked on awareness-raising projects to build a community-based comprehensive care system. In April 2020, after graduation from the Graduate School of Health Management at Keio University (Master of Public Health), she established Hygeia Communications, a general incorporated association.
